Hi, I’m Bonie Shupe

I am a seasoned product and marketing professional with over 20 years of experience in the outdoor industry. I spent the last 6 years working with small fast growing brands who specialize in natural and sustainable fibers. This work has allowed me to leverage my deep understanding of textile innovation, consumer trends, and brand positioning. My expertise spans product strategy, merchandising, design and development, team leadership, and technical expertise.  I’m passionate about creating timeless designs focusing on detail and functionality. 

I love my work. It’s driven by a deep curiosity and passion for art and design, the outdoors and travel, human behavior, connections, and data-driven science.  I create products with purpose and foster meaningful connections by focusing on shared values and experiences. At its core, my work connects brands and communities by anticipating future trends and translating them into impactful design and storytelling.

My free time is filled with an active outdoor lifestyle, passive house projects, and personal growth podcasts. Music is also a big part of my life, having grown up playing in a family band; I clog, play fiddle and bass, and sing old-time and bluegrass. I'm also active in my community, volunteering with Vibrant America and Ted Fest.

Rewildist is a new venture; a culmination of my work. I started with what I had dubbed ‘The Rewild Project’ last summer. Getting back to the core of who I am and what unique talents I bring the world.  The name resonated so much I made up and defined the word Rewildist.
